We never sign 'local' bands. We hate 'local' bands. And by 'local', we don't just mean Brighton, we can kinda blanket the UK with that brush, fella!

The Hotlines are pretty much the exception that proves the rule, however. Sounding like 'Love Songs For the Retarded'-era Queers, and yep, that means equal parts Ramones AND Beach Boys, the Hotlines (ex Random Heroes, Phineas Gage)  just blew us away.

Live, they can hold their own alongside the Joe/Hubie/B-Face lineup of the Queers, and on record, they REALLY rock.

Our window-cleaner heard the CD and said 'sounds like Green Day, but punkier'. We know what he means. Kinda. Sorta.
