The Senders, alumni of the Cramps, Suicide, Fleshtones, Heartbreakers and Mink Deville, were in the first wave of Neo-Garage/Retro R'N'B in the burgeoning NYC 'Punk' scene. A roadie for Johnny Thunders legendary Heartbreakers, Senders mainman Phil Marcade met co-founder Steve Shevlin through Johnny, and the rest is history. From 1978 onwards, they were a popular live draw, especially in NYC. It's often said that 'History Smiles on the Worthy' - in this case, History is beaming a shit-eating grin like no other as it looks back at the Senders career here - 24 tracks, many previously unreleased.
